Communication is the key to any successful relationship, and the home builder-homeowner relationship is no exception. Premier Custom Homes understands this and is committed to a process centered on an open dialogue between the homeowner and builder. The Premier Process is outlined below:
Consultation
The homeowner will receive an introduction to the Premier Process. This consultation will be the foundation for all future meetings, with the initial discussion focusing on style, design, location/lot and budget. Additionally the homeowner’s “wants” and “must haves” are discussed in great detail.
Custom Design
Scott and Chad take great pride in designing each and every PCH home. They work directly with each homeowner to make sure “wants” and “must haves” are incorporated into the design of the new home, while staying on budget. This exciting design phase allows the homeowner to actively participate in the creation of their new living space. Additionally, Scott and Chad streamline the design process by drawing all of their own blue prints. This allows for multiple design iterations without incurring additional costs or delays.
In addition to the initial design, during the new home construction process, Chad meets with homeowners and suppliers to assist in product selection, including selection of cabinetry, flooring, and wall colors. PCH will even work with each homeowner to help select the exact granite or quartz slabs used to create the counter tops. The PCH team is available to aide and guide homeowners through every step of the custom home building process.
Budget
Through an open dialogue and the utilization of unique construction management tools, Premier Custom Homes consistently designs and builds homes of distinction, all while staying within the agreed budget.
A detailed spec and allowance sheet is developed specifically for each new home. These specs and allowances are mutually agreed upon before any purchase agreement is signed.
Spec/Allowance Sheet – The spec/allowance sheet is offered to define the standard structural construction components in a PCH home. Additionally, the allowances give the homeowner flexibility in selecting the interior design and finishes. The use of allowances gives each homeowner a certain budget for a specific item (flooring, cabinets, etc.) in their new home. This allows each homeowner the opportunity to participate in the design of their custom built home!
In addition to the spec/allowance sheet, Premier Custom Homes employs an interactive online construction management system. This allows the homeowner to electronically approve or deny any (homeowner) proposed changes to the original print and contract, as well as see the impact these proposed changes could make to the final purchase price. Essentially, this program offers the homeowner real time pricing.
Construction
Premier Custom Homes uses only the most highly skilled suppliers and subcontractors. Scott and Chad work directly with them to ensure each home is built to the highest standard. Both Scott and Chad are actively involved in the construction of each new home. In fact, Scott leads a talented team of trim carpenters specializing in wainscoting, custom mantels, built-ins, and custom designed furniture pieces!
The homeowner is also an integral part of our custom home building process. PCH will coordinate walk-throughs with Scott, Chad, subcontractors, and the homeowner at varying stages of the construction process. These walk-throughs will serve as additional opportunities to discuss the status of the project and make sure the homeowner’s expectations are being met.
Commitment to Service
The builder and homeowner partnership does not end with the sale of the home. Premier Custom Homes is committed to service, and will schedule a follow up walk-through approximately 6-8 weeks after closing to discuss the home. Additionally, PCH offers a one year builder’s warranty and takes great pride in any and all warranty work that may arise after the sale.
